For many of you a relationship with Jesus Christ is a part of your history. But, there are many who visit Skyline who are disconnected from God, or have never really put much thought into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We invite you to take a few minutes and read the following helpful scriptures that could change your entire life.

 

 

How To Have A Real Relationship With Jesus

 

1) To have a relationship with Jesus Christ you must first realize that you are “lost” --- totally separated from God by a sinful nature. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

 

2) A person alone cannot reconcile the lost relationship between him or her and God. To provide a remedy, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life God demands. Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

 

3) Although we have separated ourselves from God, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross bridged the gap. Romans 5:8: “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

 

4) All God asks is that you repent of your sins, turn from them and accept the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross for those sins. Romans 10:9: “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

 

5) God promises in the Bible that anyone who accepts Christ as Savior shall be saved. Romans 10:13: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

 

If you are serious about knowing you are saved and having a vital relationship with Jesus Christ

you may do so right now, simply bow your head and talk to God saying words something like these:

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I need to be saved. I believe Jesus Christ came to this earth and died on the cross to pay for my sins. I believe He was resurrected and lives in heaven today. I repent of my sins and I invite Jesus to come into my life and save me.

Thank you for saving me.  In Jesus name. Amen.
