Skyline Baptist Church is committed to the Great Commission teaching:
Mathew 28: 19-20 NASB “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Skyline members have always sought to do mission action starting locally and moving out to the world. Skyline partners with all of the Southern Baptist ministry opportunities and keeps state, national and international missionaries before the church regularly in prayer and giving. There are three special programs and offerings each year: Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Home missions in March-April; Sylvia Wilson for State ministries in September; and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International missionaries in December. The links to learn more about these programs and women will be found under the SBC link.
We here at Skyline believe each of us are called to be missionaries (sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with all), we also believe we are called to support financially those called by God to go to those areas and people groups who need to hear of the love God has for each person. Many within the church body are and will be called to go and serve in short term mission work. This may be to feed or clothe those who have suffered from national disasters, help rebuild or share the gospel; we are all part of kingdom building.
